Mechanical BIM Modeler
Job Description:
BIM Modeling & Design
-
Develop detailed 3D BIM models for HVAC systems including ventilation, air conditioning, and chilled water systems using Revit MEP.

Interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and design documentation.

Model ductwork, piping, and mechanical equipment in line with project requirements.

Create and manage parametric families and BIM content.
Coordination & Collaboration
-
Coordinate mechanical models with architectural, structural, and other MEP disciplines.

Perform clash detection using Navisworks and prepare coordination reports.
-
Participate in coordination meetings and assist in resolving design conflicts.

Work closely with engineers, consultants, and site teams to ensure constructability.
Documentation & Deliverables

Produce construction drawings, shop drawings, and as-built documentation.

Extract schedules, BOQs, and quantities from BIM models.

Maintain model accuracy and ensure correct LOD at different project stages.

Update models based on design revisions and site feedback.
Compliance & Standards

Ensure compliance with UAE, GCC, and international mechanical design standards.

Follow company BIM standards, workflows, and data exchange protocols.

Support implementation of digital construction and BIM best practices.
Qualifications
-
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

BIM or Autodesk certifications preferred.
Experience
-
Minimum 4+ years of BIM mechanical modeling experience.

Proven experience on GCC construction projects.

Exposure to large-scale commercial, infrastructure, or high-rise projects.

Experience working with consultants or design firms is preferred.
